SHIMAA : Egypt
Houman : 36 risk assessment, should we have all of them documented?

ossama Ismail : Houman : Yes must be documented. Proof : The company shall undertake a documented risk assessment of each raw material or group of raw materials including packaging to identify potential risks to product safety, legality and quality. This shall take into account the potential
Ibrahim : a lot of Egyptian here, proud of you guys
Fran : Do you feel the certification for BRC will be compliant with the FSMA? Will the U.S. FDA accept this certificate as compliance?

Tina : Lateef...the slides are available/sent to your email after the presentation
lateef : Thanks
Nithiya : Does BRC require traceability for packaging material from supplier?
ossama Ismail : No, BRC names OPRPs as CCPs.
lateef : will this also apply to operations in the US
Milynda : Hello Milynda Jamaica
ossama Ismail : oPRPS: This terminology is specific to ISO22000 and related standards together with FSSC 22000
Tiffany : hi Tiffany from Jamaica
Fran : Are some of these AFC templates available?
ossama Ismail : Yes; Supply Chain Traceability. Management of suppliers along the entire supply chain, from raw materials and packaging, to agents and brokers, is an increasingly important activity for any food company.
ossama Ismail : No Mr. Ahmed oPRPs are specific na,e / concept in ISO 22000 & FSSC . BRC uses CCPs
Monika : With the recent flour recall in canada, as a bakery what kind of risk assesment shall be performed to validate our products safety?
Rosemary : Nithyia. I work in packaging and our BRC standard requires us to have full traceability of plastic film from the supplier to the customer.
ossama Ismail : Thanks . Mr Mahmoud you are welcome
Georgia : If we don't have a certificate of conformance for our current equipment can we cover in a risk assessment or should we complete a sanitary design checklist for each piece?

ossama Ismail : BRC & FSMA : download free: https://www.brcgloba...ce-document.pdf
Ahmad : Thanks Ossama Ismail
Nithiya : the video not working
ossama Ismail : to make mass balance you have to consider your water content.. so i try to make it easier in simple sample :  1. INput : your material (item 1 - 4), moisture content ( you can count by 100 - Total solid content).  for example your mc is 15 % (total material = 110 kg, Water = 16.5 kg and dry matter =
Monika : Robert, thank you this is not from same company

Mahmoud Tawheed : Hello all,Mahmoud from Egypt
ossama Ismail : Mr. David ; 3.1 Physical Segregation (clause 4.3.6)
Mariya : thanks Ossama! The link is useful
ossama Ismail : 3.1 Physical Segregation (clause 4.3.6) The Standard requires that, ‘Where high-risk areas are part of the manufacturing site, there shall be physical segregation between these areas and other parts of the site’. The purpose of the physical segregation is to provide a self-contained area where uncov
Tina : Product contamination risk? I will tell that to a food factory owner I used to work for who picked up dropped foods and placed them back in the equipment for packaging & sale!
ossama Ismail : High care areas require high levels of hygiene, working practices, fabrication, design of facilities and equipment to minimise product contamination with regard to microbiological hazards. Products produced in high care areas will have undergone a process to reduce any microbiological contamination
Mahmoud Tawheed : Hi.Mahmoud form Egypt
ossama Ismail : Understanding High Risk and High Care;http://www.gftc.ca/k...b4-8403beb9c0c2
David : thank you ossama
lateef : Tina....I am from US...are these specific to BRC only
Tina : This is why we have product recalls, some product developers will never comply until legal proceedings are actioned,
Tina : As an internal auditor...this presentation covers all basic practical auditor requirements across most countries Lateef
Georgia : Can we pass a BRC audit without a metal detector even though we are grinding a small amount of product if we can show through risk assessment and history that we have the process under control?
CAMILA : All these worksheets are available somewhere to download?
Tina : Camila...the slides will be sent to your email address after the presentation
Simon Timperley : The presentation PDF will be circulated
nicole : where can we find these cleaning procedure AFC forms?
ossama Ismail : Georgia : Correct ; 4.10.3.1:Metal detection equipment shall be in place unless risk assessment demonstrates that this does not improve the protection of final products from metal contamination. Where metal detectors are not used justification shall be documented. The absence of metal detection woul
nicole : thank you simon you are the best
CAMILA : Thanks Simon!
Mariya : thanks Simon!

SHIMAA : whereAre some of these AFC templates available?
lateef : Tina: Thanks
lateef : is a good presentation. Great
Tina : Ehab...in my experience, it depends on the handling standards of the organisation, as per this presentation with "food handling" procedures"...for example.... I would issue a contamination notice if you went for a cigarette and did not wash your hands
Navaneethan : Good
Ehab : For primary packaing bags ;the used quantity is quite low ;so it is purchased from trader according to specs ;how can we tackle the supplier approva accordinh to BRCl

Georgia : any examples or template for competency review of employees to verify training?
Rick : We are considering BRC certification, however, so far it sounds quite the same as FSSC which we have already. What is the additional value of BRC next to FSSC?
Alex : Georgia - add a tabel that says Competecty check to bottom of a training record with date of competectncy check are they compeptent yes/no date competent and compectecy assessor sifnature and you should be ok

David : What training is required to undertake BRC Internal Audits?
Mariya : Appreciated!
Kehinde : good training
lateef : should we have HACCP documentation for each material we buy from suppliers
Dave : Just picking up on the question BRC versus FSSC, the approaches taken by cert bodies to audit vary. BRC is a product-based sheme whereas FSSC is a management system based scheme.  FSSC audits are typically of a longer duration.  The accreditation standards also differ. Both schemes are GFSI approved
Carlito : What standard is highly acceptable by GFSI?
Ahmed : Why OPRPs is not included in BRC ?
Nishad Hussain : How to differentiate high risk and low risk food
Mona : What the difference between PRPs and OPRP
ROBIN : Thank you Tony Connor.Vey knowledgeable and listener friendly presentation. Have to go now.
Jane : Thank you for this detailed presentation

ramzy howait : thanksalot for both Tony &simon!!!!!!!
serge : What the difference between PRPs and OPRP
Houman : Do we need to have CCP Training annually, or one time is enough for each person?
Dave : will the B part of BRC be changing from British to Brexit?
Jackie : Ahmed - what does OPRP stand for?
Dave : I'm joking of course...
Benjie R. Luy : GFSI certification depending on your buyers requirement. it could be SQF, FSSC, BRC or IFS
Dave : Operational Prerequisite Programme = OPRP
Ahmed : operational prerequisite programme  :  Jackie
Ahmad : My Q again please, how can i make Classification of ingredients and packaging material (both food contact and non-food contact).based on the food safety risk?
toral : do you know any easy way to do Mass balance?
Jema : Great presentation! Thank you so much
Jackie : thanks Ahmed

lateef : are fluxograms part of the exyernal audit
nkwekam : Does a lead ISO 22000 auditor need additional training to conduct BRC audits?
June Ly : BRC and SQF certification are very similar.  Are there any unique differences between them?

Georgia : thank you both very much!
Carlito : How to become certified BRC Auditor?
Emma Fonseca : Thanks, great presentation
