Mariacela Leon : Hello from El Salvador
Michael Hleba : I should get frequent flyer miles for all the supplier audits I have to do now lol!
Jerly  Arenas : hi
Pratiwi  Isnaeni : hi all...
Kenneth MARTIN : Sorry, I am 30min late.
Alyssa j : The attendance record shows the need for the training and the effort to invest in food safety .  Very nice.
Jerly  Arenas : hi
David E Johnson : Gray Market? means?
Heather Iffland : Gray market is using stolen goods.
Susan Cole : Gray Market means bartering or trading product or service.
Pratiwi  Isnaeni : yes, Sonya...
Rokshanara Khatun : what is the difference between food safety plan and food fraud?
sonya yalla : Try through Chrome
Pratiwi  Isnaeni : ok.. thankyou
Timothy Gooden : Does FSMA require or infer the "global" approach that GFSI requires or only those issues related to food safety
Aurielle Lowery : Slides will be available via email. If you can't hear or you don't have Google Chrome, I wouldn't worry about it. You'll have the PDF after the presentation.
Jerly  Arenas : hi
Simon Timperley : Thanks Aurielle.
Narongchai Yookittichai : FSMA requires EMA
Caroline  Wang : When you say all product, does it cover food contact packaging item?
Yvonne Dzuda : ok, thank you Aurielle.
Aurielle Lowery : No Problem :-)
Kim Pattenden-Davison : It is my understanding with FSMA, requires EMA as part of the Preventive Controls.
Dele Ashiru : @Caroline i believe so...it should cover food contact packaging
Gwenda Jarrett : thanks aurielle
Alyssa j : I used the Food Fraud Vulnerability Assessment tool, https://ffv.pwc.com, but is there a website that has guidelines  and/or best tests for top food vulnerabilities?
Nercy Garcia : Volume is low right now
Caroline  Wang : Thanks Dele
Jerly  Arenas : hi
Kim Pattenden-Davison : Packaging is included, as well as labeling.
Narongchai Yookittichai : BRC does not require FF done for FCM.
Kim Pattenden-Davison : There is also a database (now Decernis, formerly USP) which can help with food fraud.
charity pierce : Alyssa J I did as well our SQF Auditor was very pleased with it!
Narongchai Yookittichai : Each GFSI recognized scheme also provide the guideline for FFVA, e.g. BRC and FSSC.
Dele Ashiru : Thats a key clarification... all hazards are NOT hazards that require a preventive control
Kim Pattenden-Davison : IFS Standard for Food Fraud is a nice resource to help build  vulnerability plan(s) and mitigation plan.
Shanna Angle : We have never gone to a supplier for an audit.  We send out a supplier questionnaire.  Should we be going to them and performing an audit?
Vincent Shiers : Pas96 includes food fraud in TACCP, do you think this is consistent with GFSI’s three columns where food defence and food fraud are separate?
Stacy Bartholomew : how do we start the food fraud process , it is rather expensive .
Diana  Oberthuer : Is there a sample document or a best practice of what are the important aspects to be covered by a VACCP?
Toni Allardyce-Harris : Issues with our distributors that do not want to provide COA;s for ingredients saying they do not have to verify the suppliers
Muhammad  Akhlaq : flour having moisture greater than 14 %,do consider as food fraud
Patricia Maldonado de García : It seems that Dr. Spinks has continued since advanced to slide 21
Rajesh Mistry : BRC Clause 3.5.1.2 asks for non-GFSI facilities, to provide competency of the auditor and the validity of the audit. However some of these non-GFSI  facilities are not willing to provide the full report so that we can determine who the auditor was and validate the audit as well as to prove the competency of the auditor. Will I receive a BRC non-conformance if this info is not present for non-GFSI facilities ?
Vincent Shiers : Pas96 includes food fraud in TACCP, do you think this is consistent with GFSI’s three columns where food defence and food fraud are separate?
Elizabeth Byaruhanga : QUESTION: On the Vulnerability definition slide – plse elaborate on what qualifies as a “vulnerability†if it is not classified as a risk..
Poh Ching Lim : is EMA equivalent means as Food Fraud
Kim Pattenden-Davison : There is an Exaris tool for EMA that is available.  Probably better for those in EU versus other countries since links with the Rapid Alert System only.
Gwenda Jarrett : agree packaging is definitely in scope - uncontrolled trade marked packaging can be a gift for fraudsters
Kim Pattenden-Davison : EMA = Food Fraud
Minakshi Barik : My organisation believes in AIB standards. Is food fraud includedthere?
Jerly  Arenas : hi
Donnetta Hahn : Would an unrecognized seller of our food packaging be an example of "Grey Market"?
Toni Allardyce-Harris : How do we impcat the need to have transparency from our supplier/ distributors to provide COA's as part of our risk assemsement for FF?
Patricia Maldonado de García : Dr. Spinks continues to advance slides, therefore, he is unaware that no one is listening
Oscar Muñoz : Would a training need to be sent out to all employees or key members of each department? Since the the "organisation" is liable?
Dawn skierski : the slides are moving like the other speaker is still talking although we do not hear him
BEDELIA NOWAK : Some companies send out supplier questionaires - should they be physically auditing?
Dele Ashiru : @is Food Defense and bioterrorism not encompassing Food Fraud or is it vice-versa?
Jerly  Arenas : hi
Lauri Glasgow : Minakshi:  Our auditor makes sure our program is compliant to FSMA, so indirectly for us.
Mike Hook : yes please catch up to slides if you can. Thank you so much
Susy  Sandoval : Can you guide us about how to assess or audit the programs internally for fraud?
Wanda Nychyk : i thought supplier questionnaire shall only be used when a valid GFSI certificate was provided?
Kiani  Hansen : John, we can't hear you.  Your audio is off.
Kevin  Gabor : do you have available an example of a vulnerability assessment ?
Brandon Holder : Kevin: look into SSAFE's vulnerability assessment tool. It can help you get started.
Andre Kutassy : I had an auditor who gave a non conformity because we did not consider our own employees. We said that the reasons is because employes would not have motivation to do it because they would not receive any extra money for it. What are your thoughts about that
Jeff  Posey : How does FSSC 22000 address food fraud?
Juli Wilson : no sound again
Ariel Larson : That truck sounded like a T Rex
Dele Ashiru : @Jeff Posey..good question..would also like to know too!
Michael Hleba : @Areil lol
Simon Timperley : lol Arilel true
Andre Kutassy : I had an auditor who gave a non conformity because we did not consider our own employees. We said that the reasons is because employes would not have motivation to do it because they would not receive any extra money for it. What are your thoughts about that?
Michael Hleba : Andre, your employees are your best and worst assest :)
Brandon Holder : @Andre Kutassy employees can be motivated as well. example: your employees steal labels and have the means to counterfeit your product.
Ernest Daigle : We have a nice vulnerability assessment but now have to find a way to test certain ingredients for authenticity.
Kim Pattenden-Davison : FSSC 22000 has released a memo re: Food Fraud and its expectations.  Back in April 2018, I believe
David Freund : @Andre, your people are a food defense risk if not fraud
Andre Kutassy : YEah but my point is is it really a non conformity
Aruna Amaradasa : @Andre, wht about sabotage
Clinton Swanson : @dale@jeff - it is included in the additional requirements found in the FSSC Part 2 requirements for certification - we use the PFMEA approach for our document
Andre Kutassy : but the wood be a food defense issue
Michael Hleba : Auditors are hit and miss. But you should consider them
Alyssa j : @Andre, unfortunately, everyone is a suspect and has to be assessed as such.  The news headlines confirm that threats can come from within.
Jeff  Posey : Where can I find that statement from FSSC 22000
BEDELIA NOWAK : Should companies be doing supplier audits instead of questionaires???
Kim Pattenden-Davison : Find it interesting an auditor asked about own employees.  Would consider that aspect to be part of the Food Defense plan where you look inwards to evaluate risks internally.
Narongchai Yookittichai : FSSC address FF in the Additional Requirement and also provide the guideline/expection
Michael Hleba : @Bedelia, depends on risk assessment of suppliers
Prachi Jain : Is Food fraud is for economic gain and food defense is prevention against product contamination
Brandon Holder : @Andre, primarily senior leadership/owners are those motivated to be fraudulent. with that said, it does not rule out an employee who tries to do something such as counterfeiting or entry of a product to the grey market as a "side gig"
Patricia Maldonado de García : Jeff, you can obtain it from FSSC 22000 Website on FSSC 22000 Additional Requirements
Dele Ashiru : @Andre..your employees are a risk too..and thats why they have to go through the food defense and bioterrorism evaluation
Mark Mendonca : they are not in tune
Elizabeth Rachwitz : FSSC website, documents tab, Part 2
Andre Kutassy : @ aruna but the would be a food defense issue
Jim  Gresdal : Andre K.your question on employees would be more of an intential adulteration assessment.
Brooke Rehberg : When considering our FFVA, if I buy from a distributor that sources from several countries, do I consider the country of Origin or just the origination of where I bought?
Heather Iffland : Andre-We repack fresh whole produce. Is it possible the repacker would steal a few and short a box, yes? It's not a food safety issue but it is providing a fraudulent product by having a repacked case with less product by weight or count.
Clinton Swanson : @jeff - on the FSSC site download part 2 - requirements for certification - section 2.1.4.4
Kenneth MARTIN : someone should call John and let him know we cant hear him
Narongchai Yookittichai : http://www.fssc22000...ads.xml?lang=en
Juli Wilson : still no sound here
Kristine Palmer : Does R&D found in s seperate location need Food Fraud plan?
Michael Hleba : 771!
Timothy Gooden : does fsma require total assessment or only those related to food safety
Jeff  Posey : Thanks for all the info
Pratiwi  Isnaeni : pratiwiisnaeni99@gmail.com
Patricia Maldonado de García : I recommend that this Webinar is repeated to ensure that all participants listen to all presentation as required
mark kinderman : A consultant auditor told us we should assess as a possibility to our supply chain whenever any historical event, even if  worldwide and not in the USA, as a risk. Anddocument as such. Such as melamine in China, but all our milk is locally sourced (Wisconsin).  Do you agree?
Riwa Chidiac : it works well for me
Mark Mendonca : Auditor need to read the clause in the standard, not there interperations
Nicole Provost : Are you wearing your "hearing protection"?
Mark Mendonca : big difference
Krastina Stevenson : can you advise how to tackle a plan top down e.g. do we need to create a corporate brad assessment vs. plant based?
Andre Kutassy : @ heather Yeah but this is  a outsourced service right? then I agree with you. but they are not your employees.
Michael Hleba : @Krastina, write it into your Senoir Management Commitment
Narongchai Yookittichai : FSSC 22000 requires FFVA for Food Safety only
Heather Iffland : Andre-They are our employees. We have a whole repack room I had to develope a whole EMP for what I thought was just recoup.
Wanda Nychyk : @krastina and add training to ees about looking for tamper evidence band
Diedrick Trevor : @Mark maybe just document and not not likely to occur, doubt would need to re-assess whole plan.
Narongchai Yookittichai : FSSC 22000 -Q requires FFVA for both Food safety and Non-food safety
Andre Kutassy : @ alyssa I agree but in some cases normaly the order is from top management motivated by economic gain
Jerly  Arenas : hi
Narongchai Yookittichai : FSMA requires EMA for food safety only
Oscar Muñoz : no john
Gail Conti : Can you help me understand what a distributor, who does not manufacture or repack anything, should be doing for Food Fraud?
Andre Kutassy : @ heather - I see...
Joshua Fluegel : keep fighting with him!  haha
Kenneth MARTIN : John, we cant hear you.
John Spink : are we ok? i'm not able to turn on my video
Hanumanth Reddy : how to address the IPR food fraud ?
Michael Hleba : @Andrew, Fraud is not always economic gain - just look at the HCl in Coke products in Italy
Simon Timperley : John Spink nobody can hear you Doug is running the show
James DeLaMare : John you cant be heard
Darla KILROY : Go back 1 slide
Darla KILROY : go back 2 slides
Kenneth MARTIN : Definitely going to look into the those MOOC
Bryn Cox : Hleba wouldn't that be tampering?
Hany  Elsabbagh : lost sound
Heather Iffland : Gail-We are a distributor with some repack. Our SQF auditor said if we just did "box in box out" we could've asked for a waiver from the requirement.
Pratiwi  Isnaeni : we use SSAFE tool to create vulnerability assasement then we got two point to be control. if we compare it wit PAS 96:2018 i think they are really different. it has any correlation between TACCP & VACCP?
Nicole Provost : Are sealed trailers, BOL verification and maintaining inventory control an acceptable response to counterfeiting?
Michael Hleba : @Bryn, yes, that is why there is the 7 topics under Farud in the 3rd pillar of GFSI
Michael Hleba : Fraud is the header, but you have to think bout all 7 subheadings as "Fraud"
Larry Boldt : Does food fraud include pet food products
Enrique  R : How to perform the vulnerability assesment on ingredients and materials?
maulik shah : Is there any need to go through any additional training required under GFSI?
Kevin  Gabor : id like to see an example of a vulnerability assessment if possible
Cendy Ladly Artajo : hello
Vincent Shiers : i don't think you can assume food fraud criminals are making sure the product is safe.
Narongchai Yookittichai : FOOD FRAUD MOOCs – Free Online Courses: http://foodfraud.msu.edu/mooc/
Dele Ashiru : Many thanks for that clarification between food fraud, food defence and bioterrorism
Jim  Gresdal : Kevin Gabor drop me an email at jim.gresdal@mccain.ca I will share.
Sukhdeep Kaur : If all our food fraud assessement results are "low", do we still need to have a mitigation plan / prevention strategy?
Deepty  Gopal : nicely explined the difference between TACCP & VACCPP
Alyssa j : @ Enrique, check out this site to see if it meets your needs.  It is simply an assessment tool but might reveal vulnerabilities you had not thought of. https://ffv.pwc.com/vsat/#/
Pratiwi  Isnaeni : thank you very much :)
Kiriakos Kalpakidis : Could food fraud mitigation testing and food defense plan be considered the same document if the defense plan includes a vulnerability assessment?
Andre Kutassy : What points should  I consider in my food fraud assessment when I consider my own employees?
Andre Kutassy : What points should I consider in my food fraud assessment when I consider my own employees?
olubunmi odubajo : Do we classify artificial ripening as fraud or a complete offence. what standard methods are available?
Jim  Gresdal : Also if you search the IFFSQN site you can find assessent example, thats where I started.
Prachi Jain : is there data available for Fraud related to Fresh fruits and vegetables?
Michael Hleba : @Andre - minimum of criminal background check, then anything else you want
Andre Kutassy : @  MIchael we are not aloud in Brazil to do it
Kevin  Gabor : thank you Jim G.
perry boulter : How would our cold storage suppliers meet this requirement for our bulk storage?
Parmeshwar Bhingole : shall we consider supplier risk under food fraud?
Michael Hleba : @Andre cna you get a police check if they are bondable?
Narongchai Yookittichai : A good resource: https://www.foodfraudadvisors.com/
Aurora Chungata : How does food fraud apply to food packaging manufacturers? Supplier audits, and C.O. Cs, SDSs sufficient?
John Spink : I am back on-- you decide whether you want to recognize me again.
Andre Kutassy : @ michael - No
John Spink : Let me know if you want me to turn on my video or not... Doug's doing great.
Mark Mendonca : Yes, because you have to reassess HACCP plan (or HARPC plan in USA) Your auditor will take points if you said your results are low, and you don't need too
Brandon Holder : @Aurora, the short answer is that what is sufficient is going to be based on your individual assessment of vulnerability
Michael Hleba : @Andre then maybe 3 reference checks from previous employers or bondable/government reps is the best you can do
Kim Pattenden-Davison : Following Link to IFS:  Nice document - example of vulnerability assessments and mitigaion plan:  https://www.ifs-cert...-Guide_1805.pdf

Prachi Jain : is ripening of fruits considered fruad?

Toni Allardyce-Harris : how do we enter our name on certificate?
Kristine Palmer : Is there a sample vulnerability assement for Packaging Mfg?
Michael Hleba : or if it is rippened in the truck, your distrubutor/shipper food plan

Michael Hleba : as a processing aide
Kiriakos Kalpakidis : thanks for the clarification.
Pamela Ruholl : @dicco I am having the same issue.
Simon Timperley : you need to get yourself access to dropbox.  sorry we cannot issue individually
Prachi Jain : @Michael- but i am a distributor only not a processor to include carbide in my HACCP plan? should i test for carbide then and include this test as my mitigation strategy from this fraud?
Patricia Fifield : Do you know anyone who is testing to support thier food fraud program?
Merzouk  Abdelli  : could sourcing from GFSI cerified sites considered as a good control measure?

Rajesh Mistry : How do I best validate non-GFSI audit and the competency of the auditor ?
Prachi Jain : is there any data available for fraud with fresh fruits and vegetables
Dele Ashiru : A desktop audit depending on the scale and scope can also be valuable
Rajesh Mistry : @Bruce, thank you
Mark Mendonca : You can find a "food defence audit checklist" by googling it. google food defence USDA

Dele Ashiru : Can I supplement a desktop audit with a physical supplier audit in instances where the supplier are miles away?
