Hello,

Can you use FDA BAM or AOAC methods for pathogen testing in Canada for foods produced and sold in Canada? Or is there a regulatory requirement to perform testing with methods only listed by Health Canada like MFLP or so?

Thanks for your support....

Any official method of analysis should be just fine, which would include FDA's BAM or AOAC.

Possibly assuming that the specific methods involved are recognized by Health Canada as equivalent to those published by the latter.

Kind Regards,

Not completely aware of the Canadian regulations, but it should be fine as long as it is in the scope of the an accredited lab.
