Hi everyone, would like to inquire the definition and usage of the word "isolated case" in official customer complaints report.

If this is a 3rd incident of foreign object found inside a product, with the other 2 cases occurring in previous years, can I classify this 3rd incident as an "isolated case".

Thanks in advance.

Isolated case means one-off... standout... never happened before, etc.

In this case since it has happened before you would not use this term.

Same foreign object as the last 2?

If this is a different foreign object from the last 2, and the control is a different from the other FM, then it can be isolated case. depends really on circumstance.

Thank you both for the insightful advice. Will evaluate the FM and control with other incidence to determine.
