RE: 2.8.3 Allergen Cleaning and Sanitation Practices

Cleaning Validation & Verification

Can someone clarify:

If I am currently doing allergen specific tests Reveal from Neogen for validation of my cleaning procedures do I have to be doing ATP testing immediately  after for verification? Am I reading the policy correctly?

I use ATP testing in house for validation of cleaning but not when I have done the allergen specific test.

Your allergen removal verification sampling does not need to happen concurrently with your microbiological/soil removal validation data collection. You can do them at different times if that suits you.

Not sure how to answer your question but we also use the Neogen Reveal Specific Allergen swabs for our validation which is complete annually. We use the Neogen generic allergen swabs as well as using ATP testing whenever a wash down is complete between different allergen containing products. Doesn't matter what sequence they are used in since they are both validating different things.

Also, agreed with FurFarmandFork's comment above.
