Hi,

We are FSSC Certified, We have ample amount of suppliers. Thus, can anyone please advise what risk assessment should be used to assess each raw material.

Thanks in advance:)

Hi Prerna,

Do FSSC have any  specific requirements like BRC/SQF (IIRC = No)?

Does this include human and petfoods (to produce RTE) ? Some specific context/details required.

Kind Regards,

Hi Charles,

Thanks for replying.

FSSC have requirements for food fraud but nothing specially about raw materials.

We produce ready to eat for human consumption.

We have ample amount of suppliers and raw materials. Thus, i was looking for a guide to do scoring (risk assessment) for each raw material in regards to food fraud.

Thanks

this may be helpful

a list of foods where fraud is most often occurring

https://www.highspee...-is-food-fraud/

List all your materials/ how likely based on data to be fraudulent, and the severity if you accept and use fraudulent materials  t

his would include items like,

your supplier approval process,

how they procure their materials,

domestic or imported,

history of adulteration on a particular item

Then you make a determination.....you should be able to group "like" materials together   (white flour, ww flour, rice flour     or  all sugar types (except honey)

I assume you meant VA rather than RA.

This post in a FSSC22000 thread seems to have been a popular solution albeit having been designed for BRC -

(It is one of many, many posted offerings for all the GFSI-recognised Standards)
