Good Morning all. I was given an idea by an inspector to create a site map with a history of my enviro swabbing, which I very much like. I was wondering if anyone does this, and if so, is there a digital site map somewhere out there where I can place a point on the site map that will bring up information, so I can label each specific site I've swabbed, the date, results, etc? Thanks guys.

I already have an excel sheet tracking all my enviros, finished product, and raw materials, with a large amount of data.   What I'm looking for is a floor plan builder where I can add 'pins' that hold the information for each one, so I can get a fast overview of where I've swabbed, what the results were, etc.

Man, that's extremely cool!   Bigger than what I need tho.

I just want a 2D floor plan of my one little facility I can add info points to.  I've been looking and haven't found any such things, so maybe it doesn't exist.   I can just take a normal floor plan and add the points as green or red/pass fail for each area I swabbed, but I thought it would be cool to have something where I could assign data sets to each pin for quick information access.   They say that if you're thinking of something nowadays, someone else has already thought of it, and it's already out there, so I just figured it would be.   Perhaps not!

You could use a CAD program, there are free ones out there like LibreCad. You could start a new layer for every round of swab tests. You could then turn on and off the layers you want to see. I'm not sure what the limitations are but it might work for your needs. I have my site map laid out on it, with my pest/rodent traps, glass & brittle plastics, and emergency exit information all as individual layers.

Ok, that worked brilliantly, exactly what I was looking to do.   Thanks again!
