Dear Saferpakers,

has anyone got an updated version of a comparison between IFS and BRC requirements, I mean doc, xls or pdf format ?

A comparison between IFS, BRC and ISO 9001:2000 requirements ?

Should anyone have it, could it be posted on the Forum for further discussion ?

Thanks in advance.

Franco

Dear Franco,

I'm afraid I can't release the copy I have because of company policy.
Having been through both IFS and BRC at present you will meet all the requirements of the BRC if you follow the IFS version 4 standard. However the new BRC standard is due out in March(?) and this may change. :dunno:

Dear  triona.naidoo,

I'm afraid you're unlucky. I think no translation has been done. Big job. Maybe possible to match the English versions against the numbers and examine the differentiated bits ?

Techniques do exist for auto-translating both word and excel files from Italian>English, for example if copy/paste document into Word, could try -

(brc6 has now been revised to brc7 of course).

sigh...thanks Charles. Yup, am aware of the new version of BRC, and will fortunately be audited next year on this. Unfortunately my site will be undergoing, BRCv6, ISO 22000, ISO 9001 and now IFS all in one month !

Will have to do the english version on my own.

Thanks again!

Thanks to the links from Charles C. I had some amount of success in translation from the Italian to English (U.S.).  I was unable to have the machine translation directly from the Excel file succeed, but by converting each TAB in the Excel workbook into Word tables, I was then able to get them translated separately. Just a few Italian words failed to translate.

Please find the 4 Word table documents attached. I named them by the same name of each of the 4 tabs on the excel workbook so kindly provided by M. Erzetti. Please keep in mind these were machine translations performed online by Microsoft translation. I do not have or claim any skill at Italian language.

Regards,

Xylough
