We’re carrying out a demographics survey to get a better idea of the make up of the IFSQN audience. As you know we sell a limited amount of advertsing space to support our website. When trying to sell ads it’s important to have this information as companies will ask about your visitors demographics. Please help us by answering the survey.

Thanks,
Simon

Following some feedback I have expanded the choices in the survey. If anyone would now like to change their vote let me know what you voted and what you want to change to. It's better to get it right early on as this survey will be running indefinitely.

Hi Ayşegül, thanks for your comments. Yes there are many more standards and subjects and we could have many, many more forums specifically for discussing these issues. In fact we used to have a lot more forums than we do now, especially on business, quality, health & safety, corporate social responsibility etc., but we found that they were not used so much. In some ways the more forums there are members spend too much time trying to find the correct forum to put their question, hence the decision to keep it simple with less forums. As administrator this is something I keep my eye on and if a subject is becoming more popular I do open up a forum for that particular subject. And of course I'm always open to ideas and opportunities for improvements.

Thanks for your comments,
Simon

Looking at the survey results I think we did a good job on breaking down 'Indsutry Sector' as there are only a few who have voted "other", but there are too many "other" for my linking in 'Country of Origin' and 'Job Function'. Can anybody spot any major omissions?

Thanks,
Simon

Dear Simon,

Possibly Scandinavia for one.

It's certainly not easy to be 100% comprehensive, eg this system attempts a similar thing -

http://www.ers.usda....ine/regions.htm

Rgds / Charles.C

added - I noticed there is also a large number of "unlocated" in yr previous stats list.

Kind Regards,

Not sure about Scandinavia Charles; Sweden, Finland and Denmark are EU countries. Only Norway and Iceland are outside. You’re right it’s a difficult job trying to keep it down to a manageable list. Just had a thought, maybe it’s the ex Soviet Union countries.

Simon

Dear Simon,

I presume you intended "Europe" to be the political "European Union" rather than a geographical term. The former is certainly more well-defined but I opted for the latter (particularly on noting the considerable number of (mainly silent) Norway hits in yr prev.stats of 2007 + I seemed to remember collecting a few votes ex Scandinavia when I used it previously).

Unfortunately, Wiki totally doesn't support me and includes them all in Europe geographical! Wrong yet again :surprise: .
I wonder what the Scandinavians think ? Sorry, :off_topic:

Conclusion - Another Mary Celeste scenario.

Kind Regards,

I wasn't so precise Charles. I think I was thinking of Europe in a Eurovision Song Contest context, in which case almost the entire world is European.
