The Food Safety Management System should be reviewed at intervals deemed appropriate by the top management to ensure compliance, adequacy, effectiveness and Continual Improvement.

The inputs to the management review would include various documents, information, results and data such as:

• Results of internal and external audits
• Results of verification and validation
• Review of process, product and /or service performance
• Customer and supplier feedback, including food safety complaints.
• Communication activities
• Status of preventive and corrective actions
• New and changes to industry codes, standards or legislation.
• Changes in process or product and service delivery or modification of infrastructure
• Emergency situations including accidents and product recalls
• Follow up action from previous management reviews
• Reviews and updating activities
• Reassess management responsibilities and authorities
• Review of policy

The outputs of the management review would include decisions and actions such as:

• Actions for resource reallocation
• Actions for improvement of the effectiveness and efficiency of the management systems or processes
• Actions for improvement of product /service related to stakeholder requirements
• Reviews of FSMS policy, objectives and targets
• Review of food safety assurance
• Recommendations for system/product/service improvement and updating

Number of infestations, kills, baits taken, fly catch tray analysis, by area as per the site pest control map and by month etc. You can collect data and present charts. Customer complaints related to pests contamination.

What are the outcome of MRM as a result of input provided.
Eg.
What are the action plan to reduce complaints due to particular reasons (eg. pest), what resources , training etc. will be provided?,
who will be responsible for the action?,
by what time same shall be achieved?
To what extent complaints are expected to reduce to certain level? etc

Regards

Normally MRM is conducted with the presence of the boss and according to the agenda required by the systems e.g. ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 22000 etc. Certain output from the MRM is expected.

While food safety meeting will involve the food safety team leader, safety team members and also the internal auditors etc. Bosses may not be presence (except he / she is also the committee member). Meeting agenda is up to you but must be related to the system. This meeting is less formal and the frequency of the meeting is more frequent than MRM.

As for item 5.8.3 - outputs from the critical analysis, how can I approach this? What should be analyzed in the four subitems of this topic?
