:off_topic:

Hello,
I've been a food safety & quality professional for some years now and decided to go back to study and learn more about the foundations of my job as consequence of that I will start the foundation degree in food Safety and quality assurance in September of this year.
Although it is a work based course, I will not be able to keep my job as auditor but at the same time I'll have to find a food manufacturing placement to implement my projects and base my assignments on.
You might think why won't I try my work place but I don't think it will be feasible.

So my question is:
Is there any place I can go that is able to show me what companies would be interrested in having a student training there? Or do you know of any company in Wales / West middlands that would benefit from having me around as student?

thank you in advance,

Vera

Can anyone on the forums help Vera in Wales / West Midlands? If not at your workplace maybe you can suggest possible contacts / ideas.

Simon

Thank you Simon!

This site had been really a oasis in the desert at times.
I wish you all the best in keeping a great job!
Although I didn't get any reply from any placement here or elsewhere, it was good as it helped me realise that maybe I need a life time challenge! I've been passionate about my job but not anymore. I've asked to be released from the place in the FSQA course.

I would like to apologise and thank to any company that would might be considering offering me a placement.

Guess must change my avantar to "can't work now... I'm thinking"

All the best,

Vera xxx

That's a shame Vera, some people cannot see past the end of their nose and are very slow in realising the benefit of some free project assistance, especially during these difficult trading times. Best of luck with whatever you choose to do.
