Hi there fellow packaging producers

What do you changing rooms look like. We have a fabulous facility with individual changing cubicles for everyone which obviously I want to get rid of as they are locked and harbour all sorts of things.

Are communal changing areas the norm? Do you have showers or swing over benches and documented changing procedures? I'm looking for some ideas to modify ours. Do most people have split lockers or two separate lockers.

Thanks for any input.

Input from foodies would also be welcome.

Rosie

Hi Rosie, Take a look at the old discussion thread below. It should give you some ideas on best practice. Feel free to discuss further here when you've taken a look.

Locker Rooms, do we need 2 lockers?

Regards,
Simon

Thanks Simon

Good information on lockers.
Is it acceptable to have lockers in the same room as toilets? Anyone?

No, not at all. Good GMP would be that toilets are kept separate from locker rooms. There should be a at least a door between the two rooms.

From a foodie point of view, i'd be very reluctant to approve a supplier who had changing facilities and toilets together.

agreed with caz.. in our locker room, Toilets are separate from locker.. and we have double door to avoid any contamination from outside and to make pest proving system in locker room.. and we put hand cleaning and sanitizing equipment in locker room near of door to entry the production area..
