Hi All,
I have a non conformance from AIB in regards to Section 5.7 Written Procedure Audits. We currently don’t have any thing in place in regards to this standard. Is there anyone who can help me how should I start it & any related forms that can help me with 5.7.1.3 i.e. the auditor documents the results of the audit. The documentation includes:
* Identified observations
* Corrective Actions
* Specific assignments
* Actual accomplishments
Your help here would be highly appreciated.
Best regards
Sarah
I assume you have some prerequisite programs, company policies on how to run your operation and procedures that operators are supposed to follow?
This section of the AIB Standard deals with those kinds of documents. The intent of the standard is to ensure that you are regularly checking these various documents to make sure they are up to date, correct, and that your company is actually doing what you say you do to ensure the safety and legality of the products you produce.
You should have a list of all of your programs, policies, procedures, work instructions, etc. You should then audit each of these documents "..based on risk assessment or importance of activity." But all documents should be audited at least annually.
You can make your audit documentation as simple or elaborate as you wish, as long as you can show that the document was audited, it is valid (or not, in which case you have to list the corrective actions necessary to make the document valid).
The attached file is the format I use for my internal audits. This one just happens to be for an AIB requirement.
If there is no actual "requirement" that your document was written for, you could simply summarize the relevant points in the document and then show specific evidence that you are indeed doing what the document says you are supposed to do.
If there were any non-conformities identified, there is space to list it, what is necessary to correct it, who is responsible to correct it, a due date and a place for the auditor to verify that the corrective action was completed. This is the Corrective Actions, Specific Assignments and Actual Accomplishments that the AIB standard talks about.
Remember, "say what you do, do what you say, and be able to prove it"
Feel free to contact me directly if I can be of further help.
