Hi

I am trying to put Management Review procedure together, but I have trouble understanding input/output requirements

I am coming from ISO 9001 background and I had no problems there, but I don't seem to be able to switch to 22000.

Can someone please explain, give me a practical examples of the required for the review meetings sections?

a) is pretty much self explanatory - follow up form previous management reviews - no problem here

b) analysis of results of verification activities - what do they mean by that?

c) changing circumstances that can affect food safety ?????

d) emergency situations, accidents, and withdrawals - do they mean general accidents that had happened at the facility??

e) review results of system-updating activities?

f) review of communication activities, including customer feed-back - I think I have an idea about this one

g) external audit and inspections - I am good here too.

review outputs

a) assurance of food safety - no idea what them mean?

b) improvements of the effectiveness of the food safety management system - can someone give the examples please?

c) resources needed - good here

d) revision of the organization's food safety policy and related objectives -

Can someone translate from ISO to English for me please?

I am sorry for so primitive questions but I just cannot digest these myself

Thanks

Here are some examples...

a) Follow up actions and outstanding actions from previous management review(s)

b) analysis of results of verification activities - review of internal audit results, in process and product inspections, process control and deviations, non-conforming product reports etc

c) changing circumstances that can affect food safety - management should review changes in legislation relevant to the company, products and process, alerts and recalls in the market place and changes to technical and scientific knowledge relating to food safety. (You need to keep an eye on relevant government, legislative and scientific sources or websites)

d) emergency situations, accidents, and withdrawals - does not relate to workplace accidents. Relates to environmental accidents, acts of terrorism, and large scale food safety withdrawal and recalls in the market

e) review results of system-updating activities - revisions to the food safety system including HACCP arising from changes in product, process, premises, new products. These are the various reviews that a businessness needs to conduct

f) review of communication activities, including customer feed-back - review of customer complaints and other customer feedback (positive) and communications with third parties (certification bodies, regulatory agencies, community and political groups etc

g) external audit and inspections

In short the above are your agenda items and reports and analysis data should be presented to the team. These are the inputs into the review process.

Outputs

The outputs are essentially the actions taken to meet the objectives of the food safety system as defined in policies, objectives and specifications. Our the documented conformation that they are being met based on the data inputs. This step also asks the question 'is what we are doing enough to assure food safety' if not then the policies and objectives should be revised, additional resources may be needs and so on.

DOCUMENT EVERYTHING....
