Buying prepared broths/diluent

Does anyone have experience with those diluent bags/prepared broth bags?  Pros/cons?  They seem convenient, but maybe awkward to handle?  Can you store the leftover diluent or do you have to use the entire bag once you open it?  Any contamination issues?
