Can anyone assist with what a successful AIB Manual or Quality Manual looks like, should there be 2 separate manuals or one main? What should be included?

It's generally appreciated by AIB auditors if you have the required programs/policies in the order of their standard. It makes the paper audit go more quickly. There is no requirement, though.

As far as content goes.. the AIB standard is structured much like other standards. As long as you have policies/programs/documentation that is required by the standard, you are covered.

Construct a logical book that allows the auditor to leaf through in an expeditious manner. AIB does not require a rigid structure to the manual like SQF for FSSC does.

Dear johnasmaurice,

No, what you need first is a copy of the relevant AIB standard which I deduce you do not have yet ?

Please see my post in yr other thread -

http://www.ifsqn.com...nts/#entry66504

Please try not to open too many threads with overlapping content at the same time because other posters are unsure where to reply and the result can be confusion.

Many of yr queries / audit queries are probably answered within a HACCP context (depending on the actual AIB standard involved). May I ask regarding yr technical background for this topic since you may find it necessary to look for some training courses if not already taken ?.

Dear johnasmaurice,

The sections you list appear to be one fifth of this AIB inspection/audit document  -

Attached File  AIB, consolidated standards for inspection, prerquisite and FS programs , 2013.pdf   242.43KB   598 downloads

i do not see any specific mention of a Quality Manual.

It appears that AIB have developed their own interpretation of the word "audit".

It also appears to be possible to request evaluation for a portion of the total "standards".

Charles,

The Adequacy of Prerequisite and Food Safety Programs section is the section that encompases the four other sections.

You are correct that there is no "Quality Manual" per se required by AIB, but they do require all of the usual suspects for Programs, policies, documentation, etc.

This is best accomplished, from a paper audit standpoint, by compiling all programs, policies, etc in a binder arrainged in the order of the standards in the AP section.

Their audit software is set up in a linear way, so having all the documents in order, eliminates a bunch of flipping around in a binder.
