Hi, forgive me if this is a common question but I am returning to the site from a lay off!
I am looking to obtain a 3rd party auditing qualification and I am confused as to the best or most recognised lead auditor course as they are all similar in price. Should it be one provided by the BRC academy or the iso 22000 approved course.

I would be greatful for any advice.
Thanks justin

To me SQF, BRC and ISO 22000 are all the same. I also believe it depends on the industry.Have you considered HACCP yet ? This might sound very basic but a pre requisite in most of the auditor training.

SQF - This has to be from SQFI

BRC - Can be from approved training institute like Sai Global, NSF etc

Mapry2,I have advanced haccp and food safety In manufacturing and degree in food management and HND in food science and technology, looking for continued professional development in the food sector.

I basically have choice of brc route or iso 22000.

you can have the BRC academy in uk who usually organise training both in uk and in different parts of the world.  recently they have training done in India.  do contact them to have the training calendar or you can find it on their website. http://www.brctrainingacademy.com

If you are interested in retail industry, then BRC is doing pretty good there.

SQF also requires you to have a certain amount of years working in the industry subsector you are auditing.  I think it's 5 years but I'm not sure.
