We process mango puree and pack it in drums (215.0kgs). Recently we have experienced bulging of drums seven days after production where 4 drums out of 120 drums bulged. We have conducted a root cause analysis and do not seem to get to the cause. The drums are aseptically filled (our machine is from Bertuzzi). What could be the cause of the bulging? The puree has brix 13 and acidity between 0.4-0.7%.

Have you taken micro samples?

Dear Dearest,

Gas ?

Some Shared/Overlapping Possibilities (Chicken vs Egg)

process failure/atypical product (if routine observation > gross process failure) > "data"

inadequate thermal process / design / implementation

inadequate human technical competence / design / implementation

inadequate FS system / SOPs

Inadequate control procedures

Unsuitable / atypical Input material / drums

Environmental contamination

Kind Regards,
