I am trying to get our policies in order for BRC.  In section 5.8.2.3.......How do you control knives from falling into a flexo press?  How does anyone keep their knives/razor blades accessible without placing them on top of a press?  any suggestions?

"5.8.2.3  Sharp cutting instruments used in the manufacture of packaging materials shall be controlled to prevent product contamination . This shall include control into and out of the factory."

This is BRC Packaging Standard, no?

Either way, Set up a work station, where knives are available (close) to operators and can be stored in a sanitary manner or...

Knife holsters are available:

Box Cutter : http://www.safetykni...CFe7m7AodMS8A8A

Ensure that your company does not supply snap-off blades, when in doubt.. complete a Risk Assessment on aspects of the operation you are uncertain of.
