Hello All,

I am looking for an example of the x-ray equipment procedure and test records for a Food Processing operation.

Thank you in advance!

Members may be reticent to share an actual procedure, because a procedure would be highly specific to your x-ray equipment, your product, the environmental conditions at your facility, the standard you are working to e.g. FDA, USDA, GMP audit, GFSI scheme audit, etc. An actual procedure may be intellectual property a member cannot share.  As a fairy new member myself I can tell you there are vast resources already posted on this IFSQN site, about ten years worth. There is a sample documents "files library" (near the top of the screen) which requires some very minor qualification before gaining free download access.

The search engine is quite effective for finding postings by subject. You will sometimes find excellent sample documents available for download in the postings by individual members; it just takes some effort at searching.

There are numerous White Papers on developing excellent x-ray programs. I would be happy to post them for you if you want

There are excellent free webinars for development and best practice on x-ray programs linkable from this IFSQN with question and answer follow through.

Since this is an international network and since many members have expertise in various standards, it will aid members to answer your question more directly and appropriately if you share a bit of essential background information about your facility and food categories.

I did some searching on your behalf and found some excellent threads that already exist on your subject, but no procedures. Maybe someone else will have one for you. Again, I'm happy to send the white papers your way.

Even  a sample procedure for a metal detector would still be valuable for finding key elements of a good procedure for x-ray because metal detection still needs the  same prerequisite programs, performance validation procedure, calibration check procedure, corrective action procedure for when there is contamination discovery.

The manufacturer/sales rep. of your equipment may be able to aid you with a procedure.

Above, I posted links to a thread and to webinar

Hello hmacdonald !

Thanks for yr query and Welcome to the Forum !

It may be possible to find an example of an X-Ray SOP but, as per previous post, any result is likely to be more relevant if you can provide a little more info. regarding your product / process.

Or perhaps any "procedural" information is useful ?

Kind Regards,

Charles.C

Thank you Xlough and Charles for your comments. We process IQF Frozen fruits, we have carton metal detector (CCP) and mag-grate magnets on our processing line, next month we are going to install a x-ray machine, I would like to know the verification procedures for x-ray machine and sample document records and some training for employees. Thank you in advance :)!
