For those of you who have color coded cleaning tools, do you have a separate color for non-product contact surfaces (outside of food contact equipment) and another for cleaning floors/walls?

MsfS,

We use three colors one for food contact surfaces; one for non food contact/non floor contact surfaces (including brushing debris on palatalized ingredients boxes bags etc.; and one for floors

Just an FYI -

At our company, we also have a separate color for our bathrooms. It was suggested by my Chemical Supplier, and I thought it was a good idea.

I agree with both jamesdlm and WayneFlorrelli.

Be sure to supply designated storage accommodations, signage on color assignments and intended usage, and documented training encompassing all that and other matters (like not moving said fomites from low to high risk areas, depending on specifics in your system) :-)
