Hello,

I can't seem to find any direction concerning SQF code for requirements for eye wash or showers in the processing area or throughout the plant. I have read OSHA's requirements concerning caustic materials and we are installing them based on that. Any direction or thoughts anyone may have?

There is no specific requirement for eye wash and showers.

You will find info as to the requirements for chemical containment under module 11 for instance calling for... first aid, spill kit, etc.

How you achieve wash down for instance at chemical containment is up to you and your facility.

We recommend best way depending on facility and this could be as simple as installing a holder with a large filled dump bottle or a trigger head ob end of water hose or the traditional pull down sunflower head shower seen in many industrial settings.
