Hi all,

We are using UV light  to sterilize packing material  in our production line, Recently we have faced a question in an audit that "How to validate this process?".Our present practice is to replace the UV lamp as per supplier recommendation. Is there any methods available for UV light validation/Calibration in production line?

yes, as per ISO 22000:2005 UV sterilization of packing material is an OPRP in our process flow.

Best to consult with the UV manufacturer.  They should have validated this.  Your responsibility is to obtain their validation and then maintain the equipment to ensure it remains valid which is part of your "verification".
