Good morning everyone,

I am receiving more and more requests for our nutritional panels. With the new food labeling law, it seems as though everyone has lost our older nutritional analysis. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a software to create the updated panels without having to send all of my products out for analysis again. Im also looking for something that I could create recipes and such for our blended products.

Thanks

Are your requests for the information or the panel? We often receive nutritional information typed out instead of in a legally-compliant panel. If you need to generate the panel, Genesis is the one I run across most often.

They are most often looking for the information typed out. They are using it to create their own panels. We are an organic flour mill so it should be information that is pretty standard. I was just looking for a data base or software that would make it so we don't have to send everything to the lab to be tested again.

If the ingredients are standard, you may be able to use the USDA Nutrient Database https://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/ for values. I have received many spec sheets that reference the database next to the nutritionals that they provide.

Thank you! I think that will help for a lot of what I'm doing. My only problems will come with some of the blends we have.

We use the USDA reference site and then update the nutritionals based on the blend of ingredients.
