Hi all, :helpplease:

I'm doing the HACCP 4 level training in a few months, and I've read and been told  that is a tough qualification and a lot of people fail (even if they have the HACCP 3 qualification...experience...).

I was wondering if you could advise on books to read or if you can share example exam questions?

Have any of you done the course? any recommendation?

thank you! :spoton:

Hi Paula: I see you haven’t had a reply yet so I figured I’d shot! I am not familiar with HACCP level 4, but after some research it seems very similar to Advanced HACCP in the USA.

Have you taken any other HACCP courses in the past or is this the first? I would suggest taking a lower level course before diving into a advanced level course..

All the best,

I did level 4 - 2 years ago now.  Your training provider should be able to give a list of reading material which will help.  I suggest getting hold a copy of HACCP A Practical Approach by Sara Mortimore & Carol Wallace.  The Guide from Campden is also useful.  Yes the exam is tough but your training provider should have past papers and allow time for you to see what is expected.  We were given past papers to do for homework.
