Good day all,

Can anyone help me with a laboratory manual which describes the ISO methods of analysis for all the important spoilage and pathogenic bacteria in fishery products? I would be grateful if someone can post a copy with all the methods, sampling techniques, media preparation techniques etc. Thanks in advance,

Hi konnen,

Some of the standard micro. texts do include/describe some iso procedures but, afaik, a manual covering only/all of iso methods does not exist. And would probably be copyright if it did.

Many labs IMEX acquire copies of the original ISO Standards, eg from Technical Libraries.

Additionally, many Indian micro. Standards are closely modelled on (and reference) the corresponding ISO Standards.

The most commonly used, authoritative, and freely accessible micro.manual is probably "BAM on-line".

Kind Regards,

Charles.C

Konnen,

I would agree with Charles on this one. If you need a bit of guidance in direction that might help you could always review the codex which has some standards in it. There is a section titles “recommended Methods of Analysis and Sampling. It might give you some direction. I have attached it here:

Hope it helps. Cheers!
