Hi all,

I am experiencing a high tin content(60ppm) level in the finished pineapple products at the consumer level.

This is a new trend since of late nothing has changed in the production processes and agri practices.

Could someone  experienced a simmilar problem and what were the root causes and corrective action.

regards,

D.KAMAU.

Check with your packaging (tin) supplier, anything changed on their end?

Also check if this is an issue with newly canned products, or is it related to a canned FP, that was processed sometime earlier (shelf life issue).

Hello,

Your product is acidic. It is an evidence of tin leaching to your product. You must have to conduct suppliers audit of you can suppliers. They might have changes of their laquer coating of might have some lapses on their procedure of their cans production.
