Can anyone share some method used to verify labels during the Pre-Shipment phase?

I am needing a 3 step label verification procedure.

We generate our label through a software then print our label in-house. Thanks!

1) Master Binder (or something like it) where the employee needs to verify that they've double checked the label against the master for product XYZ AFTER it's been printed and before it's applied to carton/package what have you

2) QA tech verifies record against the label on the product and against the master binder AND contents (no sense just checking labels if you have not also verified it's on the right product)

3) Shipping supervisor checks shipment against manifest for product and quantity

So in all, you could have 1 document with 3 initials or 3 separate documents

Usually a pre shippment review is a QA only document, but you could structure it to fit your needs

Allergen changeover.

We are a bakery that produces both fresh and frozen bread and our production schedule do not consider allergen control.

What type of cleaning can we do during allergen changeover? Is breaking down the line, each allergen changeover the only acceptable way for sqf?

For allergens, it depends on whether the allergen is in all of the products or just one or some. If you have wheat flour in all of your products, then allergen control isn't an issue. If you have for example walnuts in just some of your products then an allergen control is needed. For cleaning, you would have to do a full break down.  In my plant, we always try and schedule allergen products made last (that's how its written in our allergen plan as well). This way we only have to fully break down our lines once at the end and not during each product changeover.  Or another option is to have a dedicated line for the allergen.
