Hi gundammk10,

Yum has several audit standards , which one you mean , I'll assume you mean food safety audit (FSA) ,

There is a difference in requirement for FSA Yum! audit and ISO 22000 since YUm is more following GFSI recognized certifications , however

you can do it ,I recommend before doing that to create a matrix between the two standards requirements , then according to this matrix you conduct the internal audit assuring you covered both requirements, also report them in different reports to assure you do not missed any requirement.

Make sure that there is some requirements are not the same for example fraud detailed assessment or food safety culture requirement .

So after you complete the matrix you will have a comparison between the both standards , go through the audit using this matrix as your internal checklist , for example Clause 11  (FSA ) Traceability in column A , clause 8.3 Traceability system in column B then findings in the column C and D receptively.

If the requirement is not clear for one standard or not required leave empty and noted as NA.

Finally you will have both audits in the same time column A and C there other is B and D which the the requirements and the evidences /non conformists.

This is regarding FSA , however QSA is different as it is quality system audit it can be performed with ISO 9001.

BR,

Ehab

One more thing ,make sure that you filled the audit format after you finished , some Yum! standards required to use their audit template.

It can be done if you have sufficient manpower to do internal audit. Most of elements in ISO are included FSA requirements. However if you have clause link from YUM to ISO much more easier for you to referencing. In my previous company, we use the YUM template as our internal audit to cover both standard

The most difficult point is how to link the clause between ISO 22000:2018 and Yum Standard

Difficult to see how you can directly link the respective  haccp portions since the Yum Standard (2018) makes no mention of OPRPs as  used in ISO-haccp. (although there equally seems no mandated  requirement to use traditional Codex haccp either).

Kind Regards,

I wonder whether anyone could kindly let me have a copy of the Yum food safety and quality standard (2018). I am trying to see whether it is something the company can comply with before proceeding any further. Also Yum used to be audited by someone from Yum. Is this still the same? I don't even know who to contact to ask for a quotation if my company decide to go ahead to organise a Yum audit. Would appreciate if someone in the group is able to assist. Thanks so much

The YUM requirement more to GFSI requirement like BRC or FSSC and they do have some clause with automatic failure if non comply to it. Pre audit will be performed by the Yum internal member depends to which are you supplying to like KFC, Pizza , Taco bell etc. Once they pre audit, more likely they will suggested you to proceed for improvement or 2rd party audit. The audit CB will be depends on Yum's list. One of CB auditing for YUM is NSF.
