I am looking to create an allergen change over matrix and need guidance to do so.  Would anyone knowledgeable in this field be willing to help?

Hi Cherrie,

It can be pretty straight-forward depending on the number of products you have.  Typically, what I've done is use an excel spreadsheet with all products listed at top in column headers and all product listed in first column for each row.  With that you can go through each one and put some type of nomenclature on what needs to happen when going from X product to Y product.

I've attached a rough example for you.

We have numerous products.  Some with no allergens, some with one, two or three.

If I understand your diagram correctly reading from left to right: milk to milk is obviously n/a, tea to juice is a rinse.  Am I correct?

The details obviously depend on the specific process.
