Hi all,

I am writing today to request information on the procedure to export organic fish to USA. I am  planning to export aqua-cultured organic products to USA.

I would like to know how to make ourselves eligible to export to USA.

Please provide any details about certifying process, as well as any additional information.

Definition I found in the internet "organic fish":

Fish that are produced under natural conditions in accordance with the principles of organic agriculture without any use of preservative additives and without any genetic modifications, that are fed feed produced from natural raw materials, that are certified by a qualified institution are defined as “organic fish”.

The US does not currently certify fig as organic. I do not know what the rules are if it has been certified by an agency outside the US. You may want to check with USDA, who administers the US organic program, or with National Marine Fisheries Service who inspects seafood.
