Hi everyone,

We are doing traceability exercise and found out the packaging materials couldn't recall 100%. Then we realized we didn't count the wastage in. However, the wastage is variable. Can anyone advise if there is any acceptable or standardized wastage rate for packaging material? Thanks.

It is dependent on your process and product.  Hard to pinpoint a specific number, but you really shouldn't see more than 2% in waste otherwise you are doing an awful job process wise.

I would agree with Ryan and also - do you record packaging waste daily (or on production days at least)?
