Hello I am completing the FSVP for a site and they get packaging materials from a BRC certified site. My question: is there an extra "module" in the BRC standard to ensure the site comply with FSMA requirements? is this mentioned in the certificate after completion? I noticed for FSSC22000 there is an extra "Addendum" that can be requested to be audit at the time but not sure how this is been done for BRC standard?

thanks.

There is a BRC FSMA preventative controls module available as an option:

https://www.brcgsboo...danc/c-24/p-510

Sites with additional voluntary modules included in their certification have these listed on the certificate.

Not having the module doesn't mean that a site isn't FSMA compliant though, as IIRC the intent of this one is to be a bit more specific about the requirements, but the standard itself still (theoretically, at least) obliges the site to be fully compliant with applicable regulations in the areas they do business, so even if the site is outside the US they should still be able to demonstrate they work according to the US requirements if they supply customers there.
