Hi all, I am tasked to find a piece of equipment to test the percentage of Nylon in film.  Currently we are using a microscope which is a very painful, cumbersome, time consuming, and not very accurate method of finding the percentage of Nylon in the film.  Would anyone here have a recommendation on what I should research to purchase?

What are typical compositions of your films? Are they laminated multilayers?

If the film has a mix/co-polymer monolayer structure, a sophisticated method is needed such as spectroscopy, gel chromatography, calorimetry; even microscopy requires electronic types. Sending samples to an external labo looks like a good idea when the tests don't have to be frequent.

Hello beautiophile,

We do multi-layer (5 to 7) films.  We are needing to test Nylon layer % frequently so sending it out to an outside lab is not practical for us as results are needed in real time.
