Hi all,

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of BAT control? We are having these problem of bats in our factory premises and then their poop stains all over the building wall. We installed high intensity lights as bats are uncomfortable in high intensity lights but now they are getting smarter and finding some other locations within the factory premises.

How can we solve these bat problem permanently? Please guide me....

In the UK Bats are a protected species, so its a real pain if you get them.
Not sure what you can do really if their protected species in your country.

I think if the infestation is too much- you need to use 3 methods at the same time

Use light as you did before and High Impact Ultrasonic Sounds ( ask your local PCO) to drive them out and then as soon as you have done that exclude them by sealing all openings within your building. And maybe monitor your building at sundown after that to see if you missed something.

We had a similar- well, almost smilar- we have canadian geese and they are protected too..

Yes, thats the same we did for the pigeons in my previous facility, scare them with sounds, seal the facility and monitor till the problem is solved.
Dear All,

Interesting problem.
As a matter of interest bats hv also been shown to sometimes transmit rabies but at least only approx. 6 species apparently suck blood.
The US seems to specialise in all kinds of strange creature removal companies. I noticed most suggest noise / light options are not much use and proofing is the unfortunately required way unless you are prepared to erect an alternative diversion like a "bat-house" ''

Good luck

High Impact Ultrasonic Sounds ( ask your local PCO)

Hi Vu,

Since the forum forbids advertising, can you message me the brand of the HIUS that you are currently using. There are so many brands out there, I just want to purchase a product that had been tried and tested.

Cheers

Not strictly true Charles, maybe I have not made it clear. The objective of the forums is to provide a platform for members to freely share knowledge, information and experience and that includes discussing products and services and posting relevant links where appropriate is perfectly legitimate. I have no problem with this at all. If I didn't allow this it would detract from the objective of the forums.

What is not allowed is when a new member registers and makes a commercial post with web links to their company web site. I believe this is unfair as the motive of the new member is solely to use the forum as a means of touting for business. When this happens moderators are quite right to remove web links and contact details from the post and send the member a message explaining the rules of our forum and explaining that we do offer paid advertising.

Where a member helps out on the forum regularly they are quite welcome to have a commercial signature including contact details and web links. This is a win win relationship.

I hope this make it clear.

Simon
Fair comment!
Hi Charles
to be honest i havent experienced any issues with bats but from knowledge i know they are uncomfortable around High Impact Ultrasonic Sounds so i can not really endorse any brand. I will try and milk some info on that from my PCO guy.

yes sound and light are part of interim containment whilst 'exclusion' by sealing all openings is more permanent

Thanks

Vu
