Hi there..
Sorry that I have got another CALIBRATION questions again (last time PH meter calibration) – don’t bore with me J
How you guys..calibrate timing device? ie. Clock, Time in computer system (Ex. when use PLC to control CIP time)
Any one has good source? Please share…THANKS

Dear Cancan..
IMO.. we dont need to calibrate all of our device for example your clock for CIP systeme.. As i Know for CIP process the most important factor is how clean and sanitize your line... so you just trial and standardize how many minutes every step of CIP process base on the result... you just need to calibrate your monitoring device such as pH meter or Conductivity meter etc...
So.. i think better to list monitoring device that major factor for quality and safety first..and then you have to make schedule to calibrate them.. and Dont forget to count your budget...
thats my opinions...

Hi Cancan,
Here is part of our calibration program for you.
"The clocks in the mondini, printers and fibre king units are to be calibrated on a 3 monthly basis and recorded by email of which a hard copy shall be filed by QA.
To calibrate the clocks a time device must first be calibrated against an official time source such as Telstra time service “1194”."
Really is more of a synchronisation though, with any required adjustments every 3 months.
Hope this helps you.
When we first did this we found that the times printed on 1 line was 18 minutes different form the time being printed on the line next to it!
Thanks
Steve
