Hi all,

Just need to know the equivalence or compatibility of IRCA certified LA courses.

Is passing ISO22000 IRCA approved course, an accepted qualification for an ISO9001 LA , OR vice versa?
Is it a requirement to additionally do the IRCA IS9001 also?

Regards,
Rajesh Naik.

Dear Rajesh,

I think LA for ISO 9001 & ISO 22000 are different.

LA ISO 22000 cannot aduit ISO 9001 certification
Dear All,

ISO 9001 is for Quality Management System and ISO22000 is for Food Safety Management System. As they are 2 different standards hence their requirements for an organization are different. As a result their LA courses are conducted separately and also the certificates awarded are separate. ISO9001 is no way near ISO22000. Hence the LA course shall be cleared separately in order to act as an ISO22000 L.A.

B.T.W I'm lead auditor of both standards, ALHAMDOLILLAH.

Siraj
