Stands and racks for final product is corroded

Dear friend

for a product of chease which is packed in plastic bottel there are two question


1- in processes
the piese of chease before packing is settle on wood tables , this wood tables is not painted well and there are some area in the edge of tables is not plated and poliished and the internal wood appear , but the chease didn't contact the chease

is this major non confirming or minor



2- final product
the palstic pottel of chease is settled on metal racks and stand , some of the racks is corrode but also is not in touch with the chease

is this major non confirming or minor

I presume that this product / relevant area / activity is classified as high risk.

If so, nonconformances of the type you mention are unlikely to be classed as minor IMO.

I agree both would be minor nonconformities and these would have to be addressed by the business anyway.

Although not a high risk to product safety itself the poor visual appearance of structures, machines, fittings, equipment and general work environment can often be a negative psychological factor in the minds of auditors and customers and can detract from the overall feeling about an audit. Even when the process and product is very safe.

Both of the things you mention are very easy, quick and not very costly to fix and should be done as soon as practicable.
