ISO 22000 upgrade to FSSC 22000
Has anyone upgraded from ISO 22000 to FSSC 22000?
If so, were there any surprises?
Hi TS, I think if you considered ISO 22000 + PAS 220 you have all you need to meet the requirements of FSSC 22000. Which Registrar do you use for 22k and who are you going to use for FSSC 22000?We were registered ISO 22000 last year and are upgrading to FSSC 22000 when our surveilance comes around so that we meet GFSI requirements. I used the PAS 220 when considering PRPs for ISO 22000 so I feel prepared.

By the way if you are looking for others who have gone the same route you're probaly ahead of the curve, no doubt many others will follow.
Have a nice weekend.

We used NQA and we will likely be thier first audit for FSSC 22000 in the US. They were actually the ones that suggested using PAS 220 so that we would be prepared for FSSC.

That's certainly worth promoting and quite an achievement. Don't forget ISO/TS 22002-1:2009 has now been published, which is exactly the same as PAS 220.We used NQA and we will likely be thier first audit for FSSC 22000 in the US. ISO 22002 is not exactly the same - it is £20 cheaper!

Hi tsmith,
If you already have an unaccredited PAS-220 certificate, the recommendation for FSSC can be made remotely and you dont need to wait for the next SV visit. Ask your registrar.
