Standard for all kinds of food premises
Just a doubt, it may be silly for all you experts but I will appreciate some answers.
Can ISO 9001/ ISO 22000/ BRC be implemented on big dealers ?
and on catering establishments?
HAs anubody experience on this?

Its not a silly question as there are people out there wondering about this issue as well. All the parties that you have mentioned are part of the food chain and as parties to the FC, they have a responsibility to safeguard the "products" delivered to them from parties within the FC.
IF you refer to the recent posting on 2004/19/EC on plastic manf. - they are part of the FC. So if they have the money and commitment, why not

ISO22000 covers all of the food chain and therefore as long as the certification body has accreditation from UKAS (all pending at the moment) for the particular scope then the answer is yes. Some certification bodies may only choose to cover part of the scope of the standard i.e manufacturing, catering, ingrediants. If the certification body has the full scope then they can assess any part of the food chain.

ISO 22K is a very interesting standard and it covers a full coverage of the food chain (means practically any org. that has a hand in handling the product directly or indirectly) and it involves sub-elements of current applicable standards and guidelines. Getting a Certification Body (CB) to certify your org. is the least of your problem for now. To get started get a copy of the standard and if not available, the FDIS will do as the changes are not critical.
When your implementation is in order, choosing the right CB and a competent food auditor is extremely important. While a CB's ablity to certify depends much on the scope of accreditation (an easy problerm to deal with), your food auditor selection on the other hand is the main concern. Once done, you will be well on the way.
