Evening all,
I am looking at doing a Food Technology course in Scotland, as close to the south west as possible.
The only problem is that the nearest course i can find is in Ireland... can anyone think of a Honours Degree course in Food Technology near south west scotland?
The course would need to be distance learning with possible one day a week as i would need to complete while continuing to work.

Many thanks in advance

Hi

Unfortunatly there aren't that many places that do Food Technology.

UWIC do it at Cardiff. Reading University do something similar. Salford, Reasheath and Sutton Bonnington may do something. Aberdeen do a Masters (or they did used to)
Good Luck with your search!

Hi.

In Scotland, Scottish Agricultural College offer a BSc degree in Applied Bioscience with an option to specialise in food science & technology in the third year.

Heriot Watt Uni at Edinburgh offer undergraduate courses in Food Science and a postgrad course by distance learning.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies, it seems that these courses are few and far between around the south of Scotland. My company is willing to put me through this, so i do not want to miss the oppertunity... looks like i will need to travel if i want to further my career.
