Labeling & Nutrition

Hi All,

Can anyone tell me what nutrients are required to acheive 1 serving of fruits and vegetables? From what I was able to find, the RACC and nutritional contents of fruits and vegetables were taken into consideration by the USDA when making the determination that 1/2 cup is considered 1 serving of vegetables. However, I haven't came across any clear cut information on stating what the nutrient target range is.

We are working on a new product containing freeze dried, air dried, and drum dried fruits & veggies (pieces and powders) and I would like to be able to list the amounts of servings per serving size.

Thanks in advance.

Abdul,

Thank you for the abundance of information! Much appreciated.

I will definitely check into the links provided as most of the information I have come across in the past lists only overall nutritional value, which isn't difficult to figure out. What has been difficult for me to locate is guidance information on necessary nutrients to determine what makes 1/2 cup a serving. Everything I've found has been rather vague.

Once again, Thanks so much.
