It can vary slightly depending on your Certifying Body (CB). Ours used number of HACCP plans as an added criteria on top of number of emplyees and size of facility. Multiple facilities also need to be considered.

In my search for a CB we were quoted anywhere from 3 man days to 7 man days for the stage 2 audit. We have about 250 employees, 6 HACCP plans and about 250,000 sq ft.

Based on your information, I would guess the following, but it would be just that, a guess:

Audit type : Man days required
1. Stage 1 audit : 1 - 1.5 days
2. Stage 2 audit : 5 - 7 days
3. Surveillance audit - 1 : 1.5 - 2.5
4. Surveillance audit- 2: 1.5 - 2.5

Hi V.R. Reddy,
There is an equation in ISO/TS-22003 to calculate the minimul number of days. You have to provide the number of hazard analysis (product families) the food safety sector, you need to mention if there is an implemented management system (like ISO-9001) implemented.... things like that... I can help you with that if you provide the information mentioned above.
