happy ramadhan too... and God blessing our activity on this holy month..
I was wondering, and I hope this isn't a rude question. I've worked with a lot of Muslim colleagues in food and how do you cope in Ramadan working during the day, with food when you can't eat it? Also do you have any ways of helping people cope during the fasting? We used to stop some lines at dusk so that the Muslim team members could break the fast.
Thanks for your help
Happy Ramadan,
I was wondering, and I hope this isn't a rude question. I've worked with a lot of Muslim colleagues in food and how do you cope in Ramadan working during the day, with food when you can't eat it? Also do you have any ways of helping people cope during the fasting? We used to stop some lines at dusk so that the Muslim team members could break the fast.

Sorry GMO, but I really did not get your point. Would you please ask your question again with some elaboration.
Regards!
M. Zeeshan.
Also do you have any special procedures in your factories for Ramadan for when you break the fast?
In reply to GMO, we have employees from different regions & religions 'equal opportunity', we segregate and divide in to shifts (for the ramadhan month only), the muslim food handlers / workers will be in night shift so that they feel comfortable at work. for admin staff we reduced the office timings up to 3 hours / day, later they 'have a rest'.
It will be difficult when starts and become habitual later on (without eating).
Sorry, I mean that obviously during this time of year, my Muslim colleagues are having to work all day (without eating) but surrounded by food. I was just curious how you managed to get through the day?
Also do you have any special procedures in your factories for Ramadan for when you break the fast?
Just adding some points to the reply of Abdul Qudoos, Muslims are expected (by religious law) to get nicely managed themselves all day (from sunrise to sunset) without eating even if they are surrounded by food. Actually, this is the main theme of this law that a person practice his body, soul and mind to get restrained himself or herself from any thing (not only food but many other doings) just to obey the instructions of God. This is a training to get prepared a person to obey the instructions of God for the rest of the year. You can also treat it as a test for muslims by the God. A person who pass this test will be glorified with precious rewards and one who fail whould definely be a looser.
Muslims do not need extra ordinary special procedures in the factory during Ramadan except they need to have some time before sunrise and at sunset for eating something for starting and breaking their fast. IMO, giving time relaxations, except as mentioned above, for muslim workers is a religeous favor not a religeous rule to follow as God expect from a muslim to have a tough time to get high rewards.
Hope you got you answer.
