Introduce Myself

I just registered with this site as to exchange ideas about BRC and Global gap audits. We are a small apple farmer in the New York State, United States, that has 350 acres of apples of which 60% are exported to various countries. I have been audited by third party auditing for 5 years. Still working on improving our systems and templates to simplify the auditing process. Internal auditing is a weakness of ours and we would appreciate any advice anyone has to offer.

What aspects of your internal auditing program do you consider to be weak?

Welcome to the forum .

You have mentioned that your internal auditing is a weakness - Is it due to lack of people skills or lack of systems?. If its lack of people skill - why can't you contact an outside person as a consultant for doing regular internal audits and to give input for improving your system. As well you can also a keep a key internal person trained for this as a primary contact who will work mainly for this. Once you are confident that your system is well established, you can use this key person for doing internal audit.
