If the cleaning you mention refers to deep and difficult cleaning, why not hire cleaning professionals? There are many out there specifically for the food manufacturing industry that are HACCP certified.
I totally agree with the comments made bt JAKMQA. You get the best results using professsional cleaning contractors that specialise with the food industry.
Contractors yes, but it is an added expense and in some ways it outsources part of the operators psychological ownership for hygiene and cleanliness (it's someone else's job). Any ideas if you keep it in-house?
Hi Simon,
The attached budget was conducted for a friend a few months ago. It demonstrates how Contracted Cleaning saved them approx $72,096 per year rather than having staff work longer hours to conduct the cleaning.
You have to weigh it up.
Regular cleaning of the entire food process? Most definitely to be conducted by the staff. They make the mess; they clean the mess. They still want a job next week? They make sure they clean the place safely so there is no no bacteria > no food poison outbreaks > no recalls > no potential shut down of business.
But in depth cleaning of skirtings, behind equipment, canopies etc can be conducted by HACCP certified food industry cleaning professionals.
But of course, that's just one option of many!
