Seeking effective alternative to isopropanol sanitizer wipes

For cleaning stainless steel packing tables I have always used disposable isopropanol impregnated sanitizer wipes. They are very effective but also dry out operators hands.

Does anyone know of an alternative that works as well, but is soft and gentle on operators hands..Oh and must be cost effetive.

Thanks,
Simon

Dear Simon,

Disposable gloves are too inconvenient ? Certainly low cost, albeit > zero.

Hi simon,

you can try sani wipes (with quat sanitizer). i do not have experience with it but you can give a shot. below are two links one for saniwipes and second for research paper in which they checked efficiency of wipe.

We implemented quat wipes when I was in meats a short while ago. Anecdotally, they did quite well: operational APCs remained under control and in some locations fared a bit better.

What about 70% ethanol application, it may be good.

Use gloves and & 70% food grade ethanol. 70% ethanol also dries out the hands. One must also bear in mind that latex from gloves is classed as an allergen so it is no good for sensitive people!!

The QUAT wipes can be a useful alternative except for in the Organic sector

Thanks for sharing your ideas friends.

I'd recommend personnel wear inexpensive disposable nitrile gloves when performing cleaning tasks.
