Hello all
I´m working for a Paper & Board Group. We´ve just started the running of a new Paper Mill based in UK.
I would really appreciate if you could give me any info concerning what are the requirements in UK for water used in the paper & board manufacturing process.
Any Legislation?Any reference document or guide?
Thank you very much in advance

Have you contacted your local council?
Surely they would be able to supply you with free information that directly concerns your company's line of work

I don't have much knowledge in this area, but it would vary according to the needs of your product and you will probably have to treat it yourself.
Of greater concern is the quantity of water that you would need to take for a paper mill and the discharge of the used water back into the system.
I have to say that it seems a bit late to find out about water quality after you have set up a paper mill, as surely water must have been one of the primary considerations when you designed the mill, and the UK Environment Agency and your Water Company should have been involved in the planning stages.
