BRC Requirement for a site plan - looking for examples
i have just recently being employed as a Quality Manager and my company are working towards BRC Starndards accreditation and as you can imagine, i have been saddled with preparing the enitre company for this.As i do not have any previous experience in this field or any related fields for that matter, i am way out of my depth!
PLease can some one put me in the right direction as to what exactly needs to be shown on the site plan and if i can get a sample for a food manufacturing company i would be very very grateful.I dont have a clue where to begin in scetching one for my company and what exactly needs to be shown on it.ANy General knowledge will be very appreciated.
Thanks
IFy

SNAP! SNAP! and SNAP! to each comment there but 2 years down the line I managed to drag the company to grade A so don't feel too overwhelmed; it can be done!

I salvaged some ancient hand drawn diagrams and used them and others I made myself on Powerpoint to show flow of people/materials/waste etc, locations of facilities, equipment layout and area risk category and so on. Just read what diagrams the standard is asking for and break them down so you do not put it all on the same one so it is not too cluttered. Use colour coded shading for areas and different coloured lines and arrows to show things moving around. The plumbing diagram was not much fun but we even did that with Powerpoint; it is quite powerful (excuse the pun) for this sort of thing.

That's the first part of 4.3.2 but you also need to show risk areas, location of staff facilities, production process flow, waste flow, rework routes. As I said, I did this over 3 plans in the end to make it less busy!

Please see my previous post. I have uploaded the Waste flow. Have used different color lines to indicate different types of waste.
