we do not have positive air pressure.
we did some validations of air quality sent to the lab, waiting for results.
is that enough or too late?

Are you high care or high risk? If not, don't worry about the positive air pressure. If you are, can you do something simple and short term, e.g. increase air changes, block off holes?

I suppose it depends on your auditor. I am guessing that you have done the air sampling close to openings between the high care / risk and low risk areas? You have your plan to move site and, presumably air pressure has been taken into account? I would then write all of this up along with other attempts you have made to retrofit it in your current site and show it ONLY if the auditor asks. Then at least you have some evidence that you know it's an issue and you've considered it. They might not accept this though.

Is it really zero positive air pressure (or negative) or is it just positive air pressure which isn't working very well?

hi
just negative for the time been thanks

Negative for the time being? So it was positive but needs repair? Are the costs for repair prohibitive?

I guess so with all extra expenses in a site(leaving in two months)to be able to pass the audit.without forgetting the landlord is charging £40000 for dilapidation

Knowing exactly how much it would cost would be helpful; after all, the auditor will ask.

Another point is that the certificate you get will be void once you move to the new site...
Hindsight is a wonderful thing but it probably would have been better to get reassessed in December vs. the old standard then move to the new one at the new site.

hi
the auditor asked I appreciated your advise and we present all results and emails from the contractors about the type and filters(positive air pressure). he put all that in consideration and we manage to get 9 minors thanks to everyone in the forum for their contributions.

Well done! Don't forget once you move to your new site you will need to be recertified.

we did pass our BRC audit

we are now a high risk area ready to eat products.
we have now in place a positive air pressure .
how do we measure the pressure >5 pascals as in some retailers code of practice.

Thanks

anyone?
Bibi

related to positive air pressure, any requirement on the filtration element - how many microns should be

That will depend on the position of your site and the quality of the air around it. Low level pollution sites, e.g. rural will need a different type of filet from a site in the middle of an industrial estate in a the middle of a city.

Your contractor should be able to tell you what filter size you need.

Bibi,

You can buy a piece of kit called an manometer which will measure air pressure fairly cheaply.
